House members draw strength from each other during and long after their stay at our sober living homes. We are much more than just a sober living home with members who are friends–we are a family. Established structured sober living provides a distraction-free environment without having to pass by the dealer’s house, endure toxic relationships, or be tempted to party. Most halfway houses employ knowledgeable and compassionate staff who are able to monitor the daily activity of the residents. Additionally, these staff members provide encouragement and support to the residents. As a result, they make sure everyone has access to any needed outpatient care.

This helps facilitate the development of all of our client’s skills. There are daily chores, therapy, clinical groups, life skills groups, free time, exercise, and recreation. Our assistance helps ensure our families can combat future homelessness and get a solid new start on life. At the same time, we give our donors a meaningful way to recycle their gently used furniture and housewares while keeping these items out of landfills.

Who We Serve

As I looked at the non-profit organizations, I noticed that they needed this support for their families as well. Many families loose everything they have due to incarceration, loss of a job, rehab, a traumatic event, and human trafficking. When they emerge from the ashes and decide to get back on their feet again, they need a home and items to make their home a place of comfort, joy and thankfulness. When home items were needed, I usually reached out to friends and neighbors to help meet the needs. I noticed many people wanted to give their home items directly to those in need. I would pick up items and deliver them to the families I represented.

Our educational program is designed to help young men further their education, earn their next achievements and degrees, and learn fundamental life and relationship skills. I heard about New Life Warehouse from a friend who knew I was looking for a place to do some volunteer work. The first time I went there, I fell in love with Stephanie, her heart for the hurting and her mission to help those in Tampa Bay. No one should be sleeping on the floor and at New Life Warehouse we will continue to do our best to see that become a reality.

Halfway houses—also referred to as sober living homes—are residential homes that provide a drug-free and alcohol-free environment for people in early recovery. He is passionate about recovery and strives for helping anyone he comes in contact with find their own passion for their recovery and their lives. He’s had experience night managing at New Life East for 6 months as well as weekend managing at East for about 9 months as well. Colby enjoys making new connections with everyone he meets, and has positive outlook on life.

Benefits of an inpatient program include increased safety, a higher success rate, and the time and distance given to focus on recovery. Residential drug rehabs are often the preferred method of treatment, as they can be tailored to meet specific needs, offer focused therapeutic care, and provide the necessary tools to sustain recovery. I started volunteering with New Life Warehouse shortly after it began, after hearing about it through my church. I serve as the Deliveries Coordinator, which means I get to connect with our amazing team of volunteers to help organize and schedule deliveries for the families we serve. I absolutely love the community here and the friendships I’ve built along the way.

Steven Graduated Miracle in 2021 and has been sponsoring and showing up for the guys ever since. Successful artist and muralist in his native city, Los Angeles, for the last 13 years. Steve ran a successful studio and gallery space, worked on television sets, and has been involved in the city’s creative culture for years before his journey with New Life.
